Lawrence (Larry) Allen Stevens started in the Land Surveying profession over 30 years ago in Marin County in the transitioning days from transit and steel tape measuring devices to theodolite and electronic distance measuring devices. Mr. Stevens has an abundance of boundary land surveying experience both in private and public sector as well as title, topography, construction, civil engineering design and land development. Currently, the President of L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc., a multifaced Land Surveying firm in Marin County, he specializes in Land Use issues and boundary retracement of the original surveyors who created the boundary lines in Marin and other counties.
Mr. Stevens maintains a keen desire to continue to gain knowledge in the surveying profession and mentoring others in the profession. Mr. Stevens is a past President of the Marin Chapter of California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) and maintains membership in the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the CLSA Professional Development Program.
Mr. Stevens became a Founding Member of LSACTS after reviewing and analyzing the works of Licensed Surveyors and identifying a wide spectrum of care associated with said works and identified a great need for the profession to develop minimum standards for boundary determination and documenting the necessary evidence on the maps required to be filed in the State of California.
